#1    Socialzing Honeybees

Honeybees (Apis mellifera) are social insects. No, this doesnt mean they hang out with their friends alot.  Here you will learn everything you every wanted to know about honeybee society. 

·        What does being social mean in terms of honeybees? 

·        How do they collect pollen?

·        What do they eat?

·        What is their life span?

·        What are the roles of the queen, worker, drone?

·        How do they survive winter?

#2    Raising honeybees

While you may think youve got the easiest role, when you open this site you will find many, many searchable sites for you to explore.  Of course, dont look at every site, just pick enough sites that you become the expert at raising honeybees.  Some things you should find out include:

·        Describe the domicile of bees?   Is there any special equipment?

·        How do you start a new colony of bees?

·        How do you maintain the colony of bees once they are started?

·        Could honeybees be raised in your area of the country?  Explain.

·        Could honeybees be raised in your backyard?  Explain.
